Like the original, the 1974X is tube-powered, hand-wired, features an aluminum chassis, and includes a Tremolo circuit. The two-channel design offers volume, tone, speed, and sensitivity on channel one, the tremolo channel, and volume and tone control on channel two. The special 12" Celestion G12M-20 Greenback in the 1974X is 'aged' to replicate the vintage sound of 1974 as closely as possible.
It overdrives more quickly than a higher-powered amp, producing harmonically rich, vintage Marshall tones at volumes that won't damage your hearing. Produces rich, full-sounding tones that you can easily manipulate using the speed and intensity settings. Due to the lower wattage and the amplifier's sensitivity, you can articulate every note. It's perfect for studio use.
Marshall
Marshall is one of the leading brands in amplifiers, speakers, and pedals. Since September 1962, the brand has been seen worldwide with top bands and musicians, including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Slash, Oasis, Muse, Gorillaz, and Slaves. Modern artists like Justin Timberlake and Lana Del Rey also use Marshall. None of this would be possible without the founder and revolutionary, Jim Marshall. Marshall is dedicated to helping you find and create your perfect sound.
