Characterized by a smooth closed-pore texture and delicately hand-sprayed soft coating, the Vintage Gloss finish imparts a weathered vintage feel and tone while maintaining a sleek, contemporary appearance.

Crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides, the jumbo-sized F-40 Standard delivers exceptional clarity, balance, and volume. Perfect for a range of musical styles from vocal accompaniment to solo performances, this guitar offers a versatile tonal palette. Inspired by its predecessor, the F-48 Navarre, the F-40 Standard retains vintage charm with classic appointments such as a tortoiseshell celluloid pickguard, white ABS binding, and Guild's peak logo inlay on the headstock.

Guild incorporates forward-shifted scalloped Adirondack bracing for enhanced power, nuance, and responsiveness. Paired with a Sitka spruce top and African mahogany back and sides, this bracing configuration produces a punchy tone with a smooth top end.

Completing the instrument is an Indian rosewood fingerboard atop the comfortable C-profile mahogany neck. Premium features like an Indian rosewood bridge, 20:1 open-gear tuners, and a meticulously hand-cut bone nut and saddle further elevate the F-40 Standard's performance.

Available in the new Pacific Sunset Burst finish, inspired by Guild's Southern California roots, each F-40 Standard includes a Guild archtop wood case with a built-in Humicase humidification system for optimal preservation.
