Tone woods

For the construction of the Eastman MD305, only the finest, carefully selected tone woods were used. This mandolin has a solid top, hand carved out of spruce. This is a popular tone wood that is seen on many high-end acoustic instruments. Its widely appreciated for its clear and bright tonality. Both the back and the sides of the body are made from solid maple, a sparkling sounding tone wood.The neck is maple as well, and theres an ebony fingerboard with a total of 23 frets. The Eastman MD305 has pearl dot position markers and an adjustable ebony bridge. This mandolin has a bright tone with excellent projection.
