The Eastman MD815V/oil varnish is an F-style mandolin with two classic looking F-holes and a beautiful varnish finish that was rubbed in by hand.It was hand built in the Eastman workshop, using a combination of traditional materials and good old-fashioned craftsmanship. A warm, ringing sound with excellent projection is the result.

Tone Woods

Only the finest, carefully selected tone woods were used to build the Eastman MD815V/oil varnish. It has a solid top, that was hand carved out of Adirondack spruce. This is a popular tone wood thats seen on many high-end instruments, and its known for its clear and bright tonality. The back and sides of the body are made from solid, highly flamed maple.The Eastman MD815V/oil varnish has a maple neck and an ebony fingerboard with 23 frets and pearl dot position markers. Its a beautiful mandolin with a lovely tone that will appeal to everyone who hears it. Eastman quality at its finest.
