- The Eastman MD605 is an A-style electro-acoustic mandolin with two classic looking F-holes. It has a warm, ringing sound with excellent projection. Hand built in the Eastman workshop, it was made using traditional materials and good old-fashioned craftsmanship.
Tone woodsFor the construction of the Eastman MD605, only the best, carefully selected tone woods were used. The body consists of all solid tone woods. The hand carved back and sides are made out of flamed maple, and the solid top is made from spruce. The mandolin has a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard. Twenty-three frets are neatly fitted to the fretboard and there are abalone dot position markers.The Eastman MD605 is equipped with a quality Schertler Resocoil pickup with a 1/4 inch jack input. Other features include an adjustable ebony bridge and a chrome cast tailpiece. Whether played acoustically or amplified, the Eastman MD605 will deliver a round, pleasant tone that everyone will love. A gigcase is included.
