A totally hand-engraved ‘La India’ guitar outfitted with an elaborate Aztec. Stunning depth and detail.
Teye guitars are works of art and this one is certainly no exception. The beautiful La India guitar with her turquoise mosaic outline and chrome plated hardware surrounded by an engraved aluminum front plate and contrasting autumn-colored back is the guitar that started it all. This is the one that Teye built for himself to see how far he could take his electric guitar concept, and this is the one that people started lusting after. A beautifully etched A-series front plate with Aztec theme made of a special alloy aluminum makes a classic contrast with the turquoise mosaic outline, further complemented by the Teye-hardware. The body and neck are finished in opulent autumn-red Shipwreck finish adding to its timeless beauty. Other features include select Mahogany body and neck, bound Ebony Fingerboard, Mother-of-Pearl Bedouin inlay, 24 frets, double-action truss rod, Grover Imperial Super Rotomatic Tuners, sealed and lubricated 14:1-ratio,25.5" scale, special alloy laser-engraved aluminium body and headstock plates, a hand-rubbed violin-type finish and 2 hand-wound Jason Lollar special Humbucking pickups. The neck profile is between C and D and very comfortable. Teye guitars stand apart thanks mostly to their necks and electronics. When you pick up this guitar, you will immediately notice the wider nut, a modest taper down the neck and low action. The thickness of the neck measures .880 at the first fret and .950 at the 12th. The new machine-made Teye bridge and tailpiece increases sustain and tone, There's also an ornately shaped rear plate that is engraved in the A-series Aztec theme because Teye leaves no stone unturned.
This is a fully hand-made boutique guitar, beautifully adorned, with the famous full all-passive Teye-electronics. Teye adds a Mood knob, which controls a proprietary circuit that aims for single-coil sounds. As you roll it off, you can hear a less-bassy sound emerge that speaks to Fender-like tones, especially when you tweak it with the Volume knobs. The controls are: 2 Volumes (1 on the T-series) Master Tone control Master Mood control 5-way switch: (down) BRIDGE pickup BRIDGE + coil tapped NECK pickup, BRIDGE + NECK BRIDGE + NECK out-of-phase (Peter Green sound), NECK pickup In combination with the Mood-knob, an incredible palette of sounds is achieved. No other 2-pickup guitar has this much under the hood. From blues to all manner of rock to country and more, this guitar does it all! This guitar is a collectors prize and a players dream.
