For over 50 years, Alhambra has been handcrafting high-quality classical guitars in Spain. The 7P carries the "classic" label, drawing inspiration from models of the 1970s but constructed using the latest techniques and finest woods. The "Classics" series is distinguished by its exquisite finishing details, as seen in the beautiful rosette, bindings, and golden tuning machines.

Alhambra utilized solid cedar for the top and rosewood for the back and sides in constructing this guitar. The neck is made from mahogany, cleverly reinforced with an ebony strip, while the fretboard is also ebony—a hard wood that offers the left hand just the right amount of resistance. The bridge and nut are made from Melamine, contributing to the guitar's round and nuanced sound.
