This Made to Measure Custom Shop guitar is part of a limited run of six guitars made for Max Guitar and that are based on the Original Dutchburst guitar with serial number #011167 as owned by Robbert, but this time we had Gibson craft these with some long awaited twists!

The original 1960 les Paul guitar was replicated in 2015 in the Gibson Custom Shop Collectors Choice series as the Collectors Choice #18. Of course these specific guitars are now long sold out and most of them vanished into collections. But we were steadily confronted with the question if we could get more of these fabulous instruments.

So we combined the demand for these with the request for a slightly fatter neck (as the original and replica's had the super slim tapered neck profile just like the original) and the request for a NON aged guitar as not all guitarists are fans of the heavy aging on the replica's. and now here is the very beautiful end result: This is Our take on the Dutchburst if it would have been made a year earlier and how it would have looked fresh from the Gibson plant in Kalamazoo at that revered year. It is made up of the best selected and super resonant tonewoods. The tops were selected by us out of a big pile of awesome tigerstriped maple wood blanks. in short: an instrument that would please any critial les Paul fan!

We are truly proud of the end result. A Classy Les Paul made in the very best of Gibson traditions, with the exact specs, hide glue joints and super thin cellulose lacquer...just like in the 1959! Come and test them and be pleasantly surprised!
