Very limited run! 1 of 50 pieces only made by Masterbuilder Dennis Galuszka!

Terry Kath has long been celebrated as a guitar virtuoso, praised by both fans and fellow musicians. Jimi Hendrix once named him as his favorite guitarist, a testament to Kath’s unique talent. His remarkable abilities, both as a guitarist and a vocalist, helped launch Chicago Transit Authority in 1967. The band, later shortened to Chicago, went on to achieve global acclaim and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. Known for his innovative approach, Kath crafted unprecedented guitar tones by experimenting with unconventional guitar and amplifier setups. His mastery is evident in iconic tracks like "25 or 6 to 4," "Free Form Guitar," and "Introduction."

Kath's main guitar, a 1966 Fender Telecaster, is as legendary as the man himself. This guitar, heavily customized and adorned with stickers, became his signature instrument. So valued was this Telecaster that Kath would purchase a separate airplane seat for it rather than risk damage from airline handling or even the band's road crew. The guitar featured numerous unique modifications, including a sawed-off Tele bridge paired with a Stratocaster synchronized tremolo, a humbucking neck pickup, custom body routing, a reverse control plate, specialized tuning machines, and three "wing" string trees. Covered in Pignose stickers and other personal decals, the guitar is a symbol of Kath’s creativity and legacy.

To honor Kath's influence, the Fender Custom Shop has meticulously recreated this iconic instrument. Master Builder Dennis Galuszka has replicated every detail of Kath’s Telecaster, from the distinctive Pignose stickers to the tape-sealed rear body route. This recreation is a limited edition, with only 50 pieces made, serving as a tribute to Kath's enduring impact on music and his pioneering spirit. The Limited-Edition Terry Kath Telecaster stands as a testament to his enduring legacy and the Fender Custom Shop's dedication to preserving guitar heritage.
