The Fender Telecaster, made in 1971 and affectionately known as the Tele, is a pioneering electric guitar that has left an indelible mark on music history. As the first mass-produced, commercially successful solid-body electric guitar, its groundbreaking design and distinctive sound set new standards in the industry.

This guitar is original where it counts but should really be considered as a player. It features an ash body, maple neck, rosewood board, original pickups, hardware, etc. There have been some alterations, like a restored routing under the pickguard and it has been relacquered, but the neck, body, pickups, etc., are original. It comes with an old Fender case and candy. Note that a fully original 1971 guitar like this would be closer to 10k and not like in this case, 5k.

Esteemed by rock legends like Bruce Springsteen, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Keith Richards, and George Harrison, the Telecaster has been a staple in both studio recordings and live performances.

Originally launched as the Broadcaster in the fall of 1950, this two-pickup model, alongside its single-pickup sibling, the Esquire, revolutionized guitar manufacturing. Due to a trademark issue with Gretsch, the Broadcaster was renamed the Telecaster in 1951, reflecting the television era's influence. The Telecaster's enduring popularity has ensured its continuous production since its debut.

The Telecaster's versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of musical genres, including country, reggae, rock, pop, folk, soul, blues, jazz, punk, metal, alternative, indie rock, and R&B. Despite minor updates such as a revised pickup selector switch, a thinner neck, and bridge design variations, the core model has remained true to its 1950s origins. Over the years, several variants have been introduced, featuring different pickup configurations, electronics, semi-hollow bodies, and even a twelve-string version.

Experience the timeless appeal and unmatched versatility of the Fender Telecaster – a true icon in the world of electric guitars.
