Richie Faulkner, known for his dynamic role as co-lead guitarist of the iconic metal band Judas Priest and member of the metal supergroup Elegant Weapons, brings his unique flair to the Gibson Flying V™ with the Richie Faulkner Flying V Custom. This guitar combines Faulkner's personal specifications with the legendary design of the Gibson Flying V™, featuring a one-piece mahogany body with a full-face pickguard, exquisite multi-ply binding, and a mahogany neck tailored to a custom Richie Faulkner profile. The ebony fretboard boasts a striking mother-of-pearl falcon inlay at the 12th fret, adding a signature touch.

Equipped with a Floyd Rose® vibrato and Richie’s custom EMG™ pickup set, the guitar offers a streamlined electronics setup. This includes a simple pickup selector switch and a single volume control for uncomplicated, powerful performance.

During a live performance with Judas Priest at the Louder than Life festival on September 26, 2021, Faulkner experienced a severe medical emergency — a rare aortic aneurysm and complete aortic dissection — leading to immediate open-heart surgery. Despite having no prior heart issues, he fully recovered. In a gesture of gratitude and to help others, Faulkner is dedicating proceeds from his Flying V Custom to the John Ritter Foundation and the American Heart Association, supporting heart health awareness and research.
