The five-string Ibanez SR705, an extension of the renowned SR series, features a meticulously crafted body and Bartolini pickups. Launched in 1987, the SR series revolutionized bass design with its sleek bodies, slim necks, and active electronics, offering excellent ergonomics and tonal flexibility.

The SR705 continues this tradition, featuring a mahogany center block with mahogany wings and a flamed maple top, all finished in Black Ice to highlight the maple grain. The bolt-on neck, made of Jatoba and Bubinga strips, provides a warm, balanced tone with clear definition on the B-string.

High-quality passive Bartolini pickups at the neck and bridge capture and transmit the sound naturally, with a focus on maintaining the clarity of the low B-string. The active Ibanez EQB-IIIS 3-band equalizer allows for precise sound customization. The Accu-Cast bridge ensures excellent sustain and resonance, with individually adjustable saddles for perfect intonation. Sealed tuning machines offer high tuning stability.
