The Lab Series L5 is a 2x12" solid-state combo amplifier from the 1970s, incorporating technology from both Gibson and Moog.
A significant part of this amp's reputation comes from its association with BB King, who has used Lab Series amps on various occasions.
The L5 delivers a remarkably clean tone, especially considering its vintage. While modern modeling amps offer far more advanced features, there's a unique charm to the straightforward design of a solid-state combo like the L5. It excels at one thing: producing a clear, clean sound.
The compressor on this amp does not work, the amp is sold as-is.
