The Teye Fox guitar in Marron Glow finish, serial number TMF 0409, is a striking example of Teye’s fusion of sonic craftsmanship and visual artistry. This particular model features the distinctive Dragon backplate—an ornate, engraved metal design that pays homage to both mythical symbolism and the guitar's flamenco-influenced spirit. The Marron Glow finish accentuates the guitar’s finely grained top with a rich, reddish-brown hue that deepens in the light, adding to its dramatic stage presence. The Fox series is known for its slim, single-cut design and tonal versatility, thanks to the custom-wired circuitry and Mood knob that Teye pioneered, allowing for endless tonal shades from fiery leads to rich, articulate cleans.

Teye, the mastermind behind this instrument, is a Dutch-born luthier who found his muse in the heart of Andalusia, Spain. Immersed in the flamenco tradition, Teye’s time in Spain deeply influenced his guitar-building philosophy, blending the passion and ornamentation of Spanish culture with rock and blues sensibilities. Before dedicating himself to building guitars, Teye was a flamenco guitarist himself—this background lends his instruments a uniquely expressive character, both in tone and aesthetics. Each guitar is not just built but composed, with design elements and electronic innovations that reflect his artistic journey and devotion to storytelling through wood and wire.
