The 1967 Gibson J-160E is a round shouldered dreadnought first p[roduced in 1954 and holds a very special place in music history, thanks in large part to its association with The Beatles and specifically with John Lennon's 1962 J-160E. Known for its warm, woody tone and versatile playability, the J-160E became an integral part of The Beatles' sound during their formative years. It comes with a 3ply laminated top and mahogany back and sides, mahogany nack with brazilian rosewood board (with cites paperwork)

The J-160E delivers a balanced and resonant acoustic tone that translates beautifully to the stage or studio. The addition of a single-coil pickup at the neck provides added versatility, allowing players to effortlessly transition from acoustic to amplified playing without sacrificing tone.

Lennon's J-160E was not only a musical tool but also a symbol of his songwriting prowess and artistic vision, embodying the spirit of the 1960s folk-rock movement.

The 1967 Gibson J-160E carries on the legacy of its predecessor, offering players the same timeless tone and vintage vibe that made the original a favorite among musicians. With its comfortable mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard, the J-160E provides a smooth and enjoyable playing experience, while its classic sunburst finish and distinctive body shape evoke a sense of nostalgia and heritage. Whether you're strumming folk tunes, fingerpicking blues, or channeling the spirit of The Beatles, the 1967 Gibson J-160E stands as a testament to the enduring influence of one of rock 'n' roll's most iconic instruments.
