In a surprising turn of events, in 2011 the brand was purchased by Don Vultaggio, the owner of Arizona Iced Tea, breathing new life into the legacy of D'Angelico guitars., the brand returned under the stewardship of its new owners, Brenden Cohen, and John Ferolito Jr, with a plan to shake up the guitar industry. Once again people could enjoy the uniquely Art Deco charms of D'Angelico guitars. This unexpected acquisition has sparked renewed interest in the brand, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern entrepreneurial vision and very affordable price tags.

Among the latest offerings from D'Angelico, introduced at the 2024 Namm Show are the EXCEL EXL-1 and Excel Style B models, exemplifying the brand's commitment to quality and innovation. The EXCEL EXL-1 is a timeless archtop guitar known for its warm, resonant tone and elegant design, making it a favorite among jazz guitarists and blues players. On the other hand, the Excel Style B model showcases a more contemporary approach, blending classic D'Angelico aesthetics with modern features to appeal to a new generation of musicians seeking versatility and performance. These new models highlight D'Angelico's enduring legacy of craftsmanship and musical excellence.
