The 1997 Fender Custom Shop Nocaster built by Vince Cunetto is a rare and highly sought-after example from the golden era of relic'd guitars. This particular piece, finished in a warm two-tone sunburst, showcases the meticulous aging and vintage-correct detailing that made Cunetto's work legendary. The subtle checking, faded lacquer, and tastefully worn edges give it the look and feel of a well-loved '50s instrument, while under the hood, it delivers all the classic Nocaster bite and snap you'd expect. This Nocaster comes complete with its original case and most of the Custom Shop goodies—COA, strap, and period-correct paperwork. It comes with a flamed maple neck, and an Ash body finished in a warm Two-tone Sunburst Nitro with a white, single-ply pickguard, ash-tray bridge, (no cover)

Vince Cunetto’s story is one of passion and precision. Originally a vintage guitar enthusiast and dealer, Cunetto caught Fender’s attention in the mid-'90s when he submitted samples of his relic work that so closely mimicked authentic vintage wear that they fooled even seasoned collectors. From 1995 to mid-1999, Fender outsourced the aging of their Custom Shop Time Machine series to Cunetto, who worked out of his Missouri shop and collaborated closely with John Page and the Custom Shop team in California. These early "Cunetto-era" relics have since become some of the most collectible Custom Shop guitars ever made, prized for their unmatched feel and attention to detail.
