To celebrate 70 years of the Stratocaster—the platinum anniversary of the world’s most iconic electric guitar—the Fender Custom Shop presents the Limited Edition 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster. Its two-piece select ash body, with an offset seam on the treble side, delivers singing highs, sweet midrange, and tight lows. It features a stunning Wide Fade Two-Color Sunburst lacquer finish and is available in several Custom Shop treatments, including Time Capsule, NOS, Deluxe Closet Classic, Relic, Journeyman Relic, Heavy Relic, and Super Heavy Relic.

The one-piece quartersawn maple neck has a special 70th Anniversary Soft “V” profile inspired by a remarkable Stratocaster neck from July 1954. It includes a vintage compound-radius fingerboard (7.25” to 9.5”) with 21 medium vintage frets (47095) and a 1.625” bone nut. Three Custom Shop hand-wound ’54 Stratocaster pickups deliver the unmistakable Stratocaster sound, offering clear, bell-like highs. The pickups are wired with vintage '54 Stratocaster wiring, a wax paper capacitor, and five-way switching.

Other standout features and authentic 1954-inspired appointments include a single-ply white pickguard, serial-number back plate, 1954-style ABS white pickup covers and control knobs, Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuners, disc string tree, a special 70th Anniversary neck plate, a deluxe embroidered hardshell case, a custom “case candy” kit, and a certificate of authenticity.
