The Gibson Les Paul Pickup tester guitars were built in the nineties and early 2000's for the purpose of Gibson sales reps in the USA used to demo their pickup range when selling in to retailers and stores to show and demo thier range of different Gibson pickups in guitars. They came with 6 different pickup blocks to plug and play!  It was a non-production model and never available to the public.. this guitar in particular seems to be from 1992 and already had a very nice top and was subsequently finished in a nice warm walnut finish, the holes were professionally filled with Mahoganoy blocks to restore the wood and increase sustain and the total upgraded with gold hardware and SD Slash pickups to be a fully fledged rocking Les Paul. It comes with an aftermarket les paul case.
