PRS introduced the "Collection Series" guitars. Each year, one acoustic and one electric model were released in a very limited edition. These Collection instruments could not be ordered directly from PRS and were only available from a select few dealers, which also means that finding one "in the wild" is a rare occurrence!

This Collection Grand model was part of the Collection Series III. It was originally made for Japan but has now ended up here at Max Guitar! It's made from the best materials available to PRS, and it shows! The quilted maple back and sides steal the show with its dark Espresso finish, while the Adirondack top is lavishly decorated with a Paua purfling and Celtic-Cross rosette of Paua, abalone, and gold. The latter combination of materials is also used for the fingerboard inlays, where only the abalone has made way for "Mammoth Ivory".

Now all these great materials make up for a great sounding guitar. The sound character is full, loud, refined when needed and powerful with a perfect balance. As a bonus, the PRS Acoustic System is also built in so it will perform on stage and in the studio.
