Description

Created to commemorate three decades of iconic tone, the Vox AC30TB 30th Anniversary Limited Edition is a collector-grade amplifier with roots deeply embedded in British amp history. Produced in 1990 by Vox Amplification Ltd. in the UK, only 1,000 of these special editions were made, representing a pivotal moment in the brand’s revival.

This amplifier revives many beloved details from the original 1960s AC30, including the return of the coarse brown Vox diamond fret cloth with red, green, and white stitching. Its cherry red anodized control panel with white silk-screened text and five-position voltage selector stays true to vintage aesthetics, as do the trio of leather carrying handles, brass hardware, and gold-painted steel vent grilles.

Inside, the amp features a streamlined circuit board that integrates controls, inputs, and tube sockets—based on the AC30TBR chassis design. This model originally came loaded with two Celestion G12-M20 Greenbacks, designed to emulate the legendary tone of original Vox blue speakers, wired in series to 16 ohms. The amp also includes a vintage-style “egg” footswitch to control the Vib/Trem effects.

From tone to aesthetics, this limited-edition reissue delivers the chime, warmth, and clarity that made the AC30 a timeless studio and stage staple—wrapped in a stunning, faithful tribute to Vox heritage.
