The Aquarium is Cornerstone’s take on the classic Univibe sound, designed to capture its lush, three-dimensional chorus/vibrato tones while improving on some common vintage unit issues. It keeps things simple, flexible, and pedalboard-friendly while delivering the deep, rich vibe tones players love.

With 100% analog circuitry, dual speed controls, true bypass switching, top-mounted jacks, and 18V operation, the Aquarium is built for great tone and ease of use. Below is a breakdown of its intuitive controls to help you dial in the perfect vibe.

CONTROLS

VOLUME
Many vibe pedals suffer from volume drop, getting lost in a mix. The Aquarium solves this with a master volume control that lets you boost or cut as needed. Unity volume is around 55%, meaning you can even use it to push the front of your amp for added dynamics.

TONE
A simple yet powerful tone control balances bass and treble. Many vibe pedals tend to darken your tone due to the phase-shifting effect, especially when paired with fuzz. This control helps keep your sound clear and defined.

MIX
Inspired by studio engineers, the Mix control allows you to blend the dry and wet signals for greater flexibility. It operates in two modes:

  • Blend Mode (B): Adjusts from 100% wet to 100% dry, letting you find the perfect balance.
  • Mix Mode (M): Keeps the dry signal at 100%, only adjusting the volume of the vibe effect. This preserves the clean tone’s clarity and attack while adding subtle variations of the classic vibe sound.

DEPTH
Controls the intensity of the modulation.

SPEED 1 / SPEED 2
Two independent speed controls can be toggled with a footswitch. The Inertia switch determines how quickly the speed changes between them:

  • I – Instant (immediate change)
  • M – Medium (natural ramp-up)
  • S – Slow (gradual transition, like a rotary speaker)

For added flexibility, Momentary Speed Change lets you hold the footswitch for a temporary speed swap with medium inertia.
