The Cub was one of the original Bad Cat designs; boutique and highly sought after, it has been used on countless stages and recordings. Over the years, the Cub's design has been steadily refined and improved. Each iteration brings something new, and the latest Cub from Bad Cat is no exception.

It’s a single-channel amplifier with two gain modes. The updated original Cub circuit is accessible in the clean mode, while the overdrive mode reveals a new, more aggressive side of the Cub. Flip the switch on the front panel to engage the overdrive mode, activating an extra gain stage for more harmonic content and complexity that wasn’t present in previous Cub models.

The new Cub also offers two switchable independent master volume controls that can be preset for lead and rhythm volumes. The amp is further enhanced by the addition of a powerful midrange control, studio-quality reverb, and a fully buffered effects loop.
