The Catalinbread Fuzzrite Germanium is a rare and faithful tribute to the earliest—and most elusive—version of the legendary Mosrite Fuzzrite circuit. Built around two NOS PNP germanium transistors just like the originals from 1966–1968, this pedal captures the snarling, buzzy, sinewy fuzz tones that helped define the psychedelic rock explosion. With only an estimated 250 original germanium units ever produced, this version brings that unique voice back to life, pairing vintage authenticity with modern reliability.

To make it more versatile for today’s players, Catalinbread has added a polarity inverter so it’s fully compatible with standard power supplies, and introduced a Modern/Vintage toggle switch. In Vintage mode, you’ll get the lean, spitty fuzz that characterized early psych and garage rock records. Flip to Modern mode, and the low end fills out significantly—perfect for thickening your tone in contemporary setups without losing the raw edge that makes the Fuzzrite so iconic. Whether you're after historically accurate fuzz or a brawnier twist on a classic, the Fuzzrite Germanium delivers both with style.
