The Blackstar HT-5RH MkII is a 5-watt all-valve amplifier head designed to deliver rich, dynamic tones suitable for both practice and recording environments. Its compact size belies its versatility, offering a range of features that cater to modern guitarists seeking flexibility without compromising on sound quality.

Equipped with two footswitchable channels—Clean and Overdrive—each with selectable voicings, the HT-5RH MkII allows players to switch between classic American and British tonal characteristics. The patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) control further enhances tonal flexibility by adjusting the response between US and UK-style sounds.

For added convenience, the HT-5RH MkII includes a power reduction feature that lowers the output to 0.5 watts, making it ideal for home and studio use. USB audio output and an XLR D.I. out with speaker cabinet emulation allow for easy direct recording, while the emulated output can be used alongside a connected speaker cab—perfect for blending mic’d and direct tones. A newly voiced reverb and effects loop round out a compact, studio-ready head that delivers full valve tone at manageable volumes.
