A superb Japan-made Ibanez JS1000 from 2000, built during one of the most desirable periods of the model’s long production run. As Joe Satriani’s signature guitar, the JS1000 combines high-performance playability with a surprisingly smooth, comfortable feel that makes it stand apart from many sharper-edged shred guitars.

The basswood body and sleek JS body shape deliver a resonant, balanced tone with excellent upper-fret access, while the maple neck and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard keep the playing experience fast, fluid, and familiar. This 2000 example also features the highly regarded Lo-Pro Edge double-locking tremolo, known for its stability, smooth action, and expressive range.

Loaded with a DiMarzio FRED humbucker in the bridge and a DiMarzio PAF Pro in the neck, the JS1000 covers everything from singing lead tones and harmonically rich rock sounds to warm cleans and expressive fusion textures. The push-pull controls add extra flexibility, with a high-pass filter on the volume control and coil-split on the tone control.
