The semi-acoustic JSM signature guitar series by John Scofield celebrates its 20th anniversary, prompting Ibanez to release the more affordable JSM20. This electric thinline hollowbody guitar features a mix of familiar and surprising characteristics. As expected, the body is made entirely of maple, but for the neck, a solid 3-piece construction of exotic nyatoh and maple has been chosen. The 22 medium-sized frets are comfortably rounded off with an Artstar Fret Treatment. Additionally, this Scofield signature model is delivered with a sturdy matching Ibanez case.

A particularly pleasant feature is the fretboard's 12-inch radius, offering a familiar and classic playing feel. The JSM neck, like the body, has a semi-gloss finish, providing a comfortable and familiar feel. This signature hollowbody is also equipped with Super 58 humbuckers at both the bridge and neck positions. With the four standard potentiometers and a 3-way switch, this Ibanez JSM20 delivers a wide spectrum of warm, vintage alnico-style guitar tones. For precise intonation and tuning stability, it features the Gibraltar Artist bridge and the well-known Quik Change III tailpiece. Furthermore, this signature semi-hollow guitar also includes a bone nut, complementing its overall design and functionality.
