Description

The Electro-Harmonix Mainframe Bit Crusher is a nostalgic trip back to the lo-fi sounds of vintage games and old-school tech, offering a unique sound experience. With its sample rate reduction ranging from 48kHz to 110Hz, it creates those signature buzzing, glitchy tones reminiscent of classic arcade games and early computing systems. You can adjust the bit depth from 24-bit down to 1-bit, further enhancing the vintage feel with crunchy, digital artifacts. The Mainframe also features a selectable high, low, or band-pass filter to shape those artifacts for even more tonal variety. 

This pedal also includes a Sample Rate Tuning Mode, allowing you to sync the sample rate to the key of your song or dynamically adjust it based on your playing. For further customization, the Mainframe allows you to store presets or control the settings in real time with an expression pedal. The secondary knob parameters offer detailed fine-tuning of the effect, and with high-quality buffered bypass and silent switching, it’s perfect for both live and studio use. Plus, it comes with a 9.6V DC-200mA power supply to get you started.
