Description

The Maxon ST9Pro+ is a modern evolution of the iconic 1980s ST9 overdrive, redesigned to deliver thick, powerful tones with the punch and depth of a cranked stack amp. Building on the original's midrange-focused drive, the ST9Pro+ adds a Mid Boost control for shaping presence and a new Low Boost circuit to enhance low-end response and introduce more aggressive distortion when needed.

Operating at 9V by default, the pedal includes an internal switch to boost voltage to 18V, increasing headroom, improving clarity, and reducing background noise. With its robust gain structure, tone-sculpting flexibility, and amp-like feel, the ST9Pro+ is a versatile overdrive suited for everything from saturated rhythm work to bold, cutting leads.
