The iconic tone of a Marshall Plexi in a compact package.
The Marshall 1959 Super Lead Plexi has been a coveted tube amp head since its introduction in 1967. For those who find the original out of reach or the reissue too loud, the 20-watt SV20H Studio Vintage is here. It's an almost exact replica of the original circuit, which was based on the Fender Bassman, but with a more manageable volume. Instead of the deafening 100 watts powered by four EL34 tubes, the SV20H uses just two, giving you classic tones without overwhelming volume. The preamp still features three ECC83 tubes (one acting as a phase splitter), delivering that vintage late-'60s sound. And yes, the iconic four separate inputs are here too, allowing you to mix the high treble and normal channels (or loudness 1 and 2, if you prefer).

Flexi Plexi.
The SV20H is every bit the 1959SLP you know and love, only in a smaller, more practical enclosure with modern features. The mojo of the original design is preserved with a presence knob and three-band EQ, along with a master and standby switch. But there’s more: the standby switch offers something special. In the middle, it's in standby mode, flick it down for the full 20 watts, or push it up for just 5 watts, making it perfect for bedroom use. The amp also features five speaker outputs, a completely bypassable effects loop (with an on/off switch), and a DI out, allowing you to connect your mini Plexi directly to a mixer or DAW for re-amping later.
