The Vemuram Spiritone is a meticulously crafted overdrive pedal born from a deep collaboration with legendary guitarist Char, blending decades of tonal history into a refined and expressive drive unit. Drawing on Char’s personal collection of cherished gear—including his Klon Centaur, Roland CE-1, Watkins Copicat, and an array of iconic guitars—Vemuram has developed a completely new take on medium-gain drive that captures both vintage warmth and modern versatility.

Through extensive A/B testing at live gigs, Char and the Vemuram team refined and reworked multiple prototypes, ultimately landing on two distinct voicings that became the heart of the Spiritone. Channel A offers a vintage-inspired tone with smooth character and dynamic responsiveness, while Channel B adds brightness, punch, and a more aggressive edge—ideal for cutting through a live mix. Each channel has its own dedicated Level control, and footswitches allow instant switching between the two voices for seamless performance transitions.

In addition to its core tone-shaping controls, the Spiritone includes a saturation trimmer for emulating the rich response of tube power amps, and a switchable input buffer to tailor its interaction with your signal chain. These features allow players to dial in their ideal response depending on their gear, venue, or tonal preferences.

Built with Vemuram’s signature commitment to craftsmanship, the Spiritone features custom footswitches, high-quality jacks, rare N.O.S. components, and unique ash white Bakelite knobs for a sense of premium quality and classic visual appeal.
