The Torpedo Captor X is a compact and powerful solution for guitarists and bassists who want to enjoy their tube amps at full tilt without the drawbacks of traditional speaker cabinets. Combining a reactive load box, tube amp attenuator, cab simulator, dual IR loader, and stereo expander, the Captor X is built for home, live, and studio use. It allows you to safely push your amp into its sweet spot while controlling output volume or playing in complete silence through headphones. The onboard attenuator includes three settings—Home, Club, and Stadium—and it supports amps up to 100 watts RMS.

Designed with modern players in mind, it features extensive connectivity and tonal flexibility. The built-in Torpedo Remote app provides control over mic placement, cabinet selection, EQ, reverb, and routing options through USB, MIDI, or wireless connectivity. The unit includes 32 virtual cabinets (expandable via IRs), 8 mics per cab, stereo reverb, Twin Tracker automatic double-tracking, and an Enhancer section to shape your tone with added body, brilliance, and low-end thickness. Dual mono, stereo, and dry/wet XLR output routing gives you studio-grade flexibility, while the included Wall of Sound plugin allows for deep post-recording cabinet processing.
