For years, Lakland's Skyline basses have consistently amazed us with their exceptional playability, tone, and finishing quality, all at an unmatched value for their price. For those who might not be familiar, a brief introduction to Lakland is warranted. This Chicago-based boutique manufacturer has been the go-to choice for many prominent musicians, including Darryl Jones of The Rolling Stones, Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath, Adam Clayton of U2, Nate Mendel from Foo Fighters, Ben Kenny of Incubus, and Tim Commerford of Rage Against The Machine. The Skyline series, while more affordable, follows the same Lakland USA blueprint but is built in Indonesia. These basses are then finished in Chicago, where they undergo final assembly with USA hardware and components. Each bass is meticulously set up and undergoes a "pleck'ing" process, a computer-controlled procedure that ensures precise fret leveling.
