The JHS Pedals The Crayon is based on the drive section of the JHS Color Box pedal. The Color Box recreates the sound you get when you plug your guitar straight into a mixing console, like the Beatles did on their song Revolution 1. Controls

There are three red rotary controls on the Jhs The Crayon: Master, Pre-Vol and Tilt. Master is your overall volume, Pre-Vol works like the gain control on a preamp. Turn it up and the amount of overdrive will increase. On settings above 75%, the fuzz starts to react strongly to your playing: a harder attack will make it gate out more.Tilt is an active tone knob that boosts the low-end and cuts the highs when its turned counter-clockwise (the middle position is flat), and when you turn the Tilt control clockwise the treble will be boosted while the low-end gets cut.The JHS Pedals The Crayon has a High-Pass toggle switch that you can use to select a frequency range starting from 200Hz or 750Hz.
